Description

The most heavily loaded points of mineral processing plants (slurry and dredge pumps, suction pipes, slurry lines with high velocity and a high solids content) are lined with silicon carbide based materials.

Material

A wear- and chemical-resistant compound based on epoxy resins and silicon carbides of different grain sizes. Two-component, with a hard filler, density 2.1 g/cm³. The formulation is matched to the specification and operating conditions. The compound is applied to vertical and horizontal surfaces, pipes and fittings, or supplied as moulded parts, fired or unfired.

What we make

  • wear-resistant pipelines and fittings for high-pressure lines with severe abrasion;
  • wet-end surfaces of dredge, slurry and other pumps;
  • shaped parts, including hydrocyclone spigots.

Recommended working thickness of the lining: 30–40 mm on straight runs and 50–70 mm on bends, depending on the radius. Silicon carbide linings have proven themselves in hydraulic transport of abrasive rock in saturated chemical solutions.
